Who is Maggie’s Little Theater?

Established in 2007 at St. Margaret Parish in Middle Village, Queens, with a mission to produce popular, original, and lesser known works to the parish and surrounding communities, Maggie’s Little Theater produces two shows annually. As part of that mission, Maggie’s Board of Directors selects plays and musicals they hope will entertain and enrich the patrons and the performers both. MLT also casts young performers and backstage staff whenever possible. Many of our cast and crew have had their first theatrical experiences with the company and have gone on to study stage craft. Maggie’s Little Theater is also the proud recipient of eight Josie Awards. These awards are bestowed each June by The Josephine Foundation to local theatre companies. We were also named as the Best Performance Venue in Queens in 2022 by the Queens Award Program. Maggie's Little Theater is always seeking members interested in backstage and technical work, wardrobe, and other areas. Even if you can’t sew, saw, or hammer, we always need people who can shop, hold a ladder, and help sweep the floor. We can teach you set work, painting, how to run a light or sound board. We are also seeking members interested in house management and concessions, advertising and publicity, and other administrative areas. Anyone interested can contact us at maggieslittletheater@gmail.com.
